Hiya, sorry to bother you all again.

I'm trying to rip the episodes from the series "extras". However at the same point each time DVD decryptor gives me the error:

"I/O Error!

Device 4:1:0] My cd drive etc ATA...

Scsistatus 0x02
Interpretation: Check condition

cdb; 28 00 00 05 0f 34 00 00 01 00
Interpretation: Read [10] - Sector 331572 <-- always same sector

Sense area 70 00 03 00 00 00 00 0a 00 00 00 00 00 11 06 00 000 00 00
Interpretation: CIRC Unrecovered error

Is this the sign of a f****ed disc? I'm sure ive decrypted dvds in worse condition before, there are no deep scratches..

thanks for your help!!

I'm trying to rip the episodes from the series "extras" from a rental disk. You may want to re-read the forum rules (http://forum.doom9.org/forum-rules.htm) to which you agreed when you signed up to this forum, particularly rule #6. There's also this announcement (http://forum.doom9.org/announcement.php?f=6) at the top of the Newbies sub-forum which further explains in detail with what we will not help you.

My apologies, please delete this thread if need be. I've edited it out of my post.

A CRC error indicates that there's either a problem with the physical DVD (scratched, dirty, Peanut Butter and Jelly) - or the earliest version of "ARccOS" copy protection (DVD Decrypter v.3.5.4 CAN handle the earliest version of "ARccOS").

Try cleaning your DVD...

First thing I'd try is a different drive. If that fails check out http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=106778 - Getting out the most of a scratched DVD

If you're having trouble with the program, run the liesmich.txt through your favorite German->English translator. And if it's still confusing I made my own English readme.txt for the program.

edit: Oh yeah, sometimes if I don't really care, I'll make an ISO using alcohol120% ignoring bad sectors, mount that ISO, and use that as my base disc.
