i am tgrying to do some editing in premiere with some .ts streams from my sat receiver. premiere cannot reasd ts streams, so i demux them with DGIndex.exe. Then i have 2 files, 1 video and 1 audio. Now the problem i have is that the asuio is around 1 sec behind. Of course i can correct that, by starting the audio 1 sec later, but why does this happen?
the audio files after demuzing also get this in their name: vidname_pid054_delay_983ms?? Why is the audio delayed 983 ms?

DgIndex is usually pretty good about this. You can try ProjectX, which works quite well in demuxing. Look for the Compiled Version of ProjectX, it'll be much easier to install.

.TS streams can have capture faults which need correcting as you know (lost packets, scrambled packets, etc). DGIndex is no doubt great. Refer http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?p=814236#post814236 - I've found it reliably fixes sync errors in .TS streams during demuxing, and reports level of sync estimation at the end. You need to configure the defaults (easy enough, even I did it).
PVAStrumento 2.1.0.15 - I've found it recommended all over the place... fixing dud streams, demuxing multiple embedded audio, auto re-syncing streams, detecting/fixing scrambled packets, etc... it outputs mpv,ac3,mp2 files... http://www.offeryn.de/dv.htm
