How do convert vob file to Avi/divx6? right now, i'm using dvd Decrypter 3.5.4.0.

I usually use Dvd decrypter to split the video & audio stream with demux option. Then use VDubMod 1.5.4.1 to do the video compression and BeLight-0.22beta9 for ac3 audio. Then i use Nandub-1.0rc2-YUY2lumafix to combine the video and audio.

Is that a proper way to backup and convert to Avi?

I only got that process to work on my fight club.
I have getting my snatch & Leon the Professional to work on Vdub mod.
When i try compress the video i get a error(100?) saying the video stream is corrupted.

Any 1 know how i could backup my dvd's to divx 6.2? or tell me if i'm doing something wrong?

Theres a wealth of guides on the doom9 main page or see the Gordianknot section of the Forums.
Or just search

I could find a guide that tells me how to do it in the main page.

Did you mean you could NOT find a guide?
If you wish to use AutoGK (which I find quite user-friendly) this is the guide from the AutoGK homepage - http://www.autogk.me.uk/modules.php?name=TutorialEN

For Guides, just click Guides on the left hand side of the main page, and then click on 'MPEG-4 (DivX / XviD/ NeroDigital / x264)' and then DivX (not DivX 3!)

I mean i could not find the guide that tells me how to do what i want.
I read all the guide on the site. it's alway missing something like the dvd to harddrive guide. It tells me how to get on the harddrive but, does say what to do with the vob file. I want convert to divx manually with sound and everything.

Can someone tell how?

Someone has already told you how, and has given you one of the simplest methods in which to do it: AutoGK. Gordian Knot can give you better control and will yield a better end file with the right settings. There are guides for both as well as detailed instructions for Gordian Knot/DivX 6.2 in a recent thread in the DivX sub-forum. Your own method should also work, but you may have a corruption with DVD Decrypter or VirtualDubMod, or you may have a physical problem with the drive with which you are ripping the disk to your drive.
