I have similar problems ...

I usually encode video captures from Ragnarok Online game with FRAPS > process with AVS > Encode with MeGUI to x264 (.mp4)
[MeGUI Profile: HQ-Slow]

With only 1 video (.AVS) that looks OK with Virtualdub and the preview of MeGUI the second pass finish early (file has 5.2MB when the prediction says >10MB), near the half.
Don't crash but finished early, then i tried with VLC & Zoom Player as usual, but don't show any video at VLC and with ZP gives filter error.

I tried updating x264 cli & mp4box, but doesn't work ...

Strangely when I encoded to RAW (.264) works ok!
and then muxed to .mp4 with MeGUI or YAMB

Note: I repeat, this only happened with 1 video encoding.

so where are the exact commandlines? and what happens when not using megui but the cli itself? and what happens with mkv output? and is it the same with other compiles (jarod, chrono, celtic...)
