@JDobbs,
Do you plan to implement 2.21:1 AR support in DVD rebuilder ???
Many DVD's releases nowdays come in 2.21:1 AR but DVD-RB does not support it and encodes in 16:9 AR. Although some free encoders like HCenc support 2.21:1.
In other words, if the pilot does not want to navigate to that destination, the plane cannot reach there, no matter how powerful the engines are!!! :o

As far as I'm aware, the 2.21:1 DAR flag is not DVD/VOB "container" compliant. Only MPEG-2 video "stream" compliant...
Therefor, it will not be added to DVD Rebuilder or any other DVD/VOB muxing/authoring applications ;)
EDIT: All current DVD's contain either an 4:3 or 16:9 DAR flag.. The reason why you see DVD's with movie aspect ratios of say, 2.35:1, 2.40:1 etc, is because the black mattes are hard encoded together with the image.

it isn't even TV Screen compliant... by that way... why in the hell have I bought a 16:9 TV screen?
oh! now I remember... I wanted to get rid of the black bars :D
ummm... damme it... they are still there :D

Although some free encoders like HCenc support 2.21:1.HC is meant to be a MPEG2 encoder so it also supports 2.21:1 and 1:1.
If you click "make DVD compliant" in the GUI it will switch from 2.21:1 to 16:9.

When they list that on the box they are referring to a 2.21:1 picture encapsulated into either a 16:9 or a 4:3 container (with black bars above and below). DVD Rebuilder handles them correctly.
