You must be new here... :)

VirtualDubMod, for one.

Does the program you're using not have splitting built in?

Well CWR03, sorry to be so horrible but this is in the (Auto) GK forum.
If I remember, when I did a 1.4GB encode using AutoGK, it split it into 2 700mb files.

If you'd read Francisd2d's post, you'd find that the question was what program can be used to split the file after encoding. Is there some reason that even though someone may have asked a question in the wrong forum (which has yet to be determined), we are not allowed to give a correct response? Ye whose first post on this board was a complaint regarding a question in an incorrect sub-forum, perhaps you ought to let the moderators decide who can post what where.

Whatch your tempers, boys. Please see Rule #4. Links to rules are at the top of every forum page.

Hi and welcome to the forum,

Short answer is (as already pointed out) VirtualDubMod; use
-save as
-direct stream copy
-Segment ouput size
-limit size

Long answer, or live exemple if you prefer, just done 2 encodes of K19 with AGK 1/5 of DVD; 1st was fully auto gave me 676width with soft matrix.
As I was not satisfied, I tried a second with sharp matrix, no audio (quicker), got 608width better.
Then I demux the mp3 audio from the first one, mux it in the second one and, as I save on DVD I want to keep the files in good condition as long (in term of years) as possible, I split them in two or no more than 700mb each so from here we go back to short answer :)

Does it answer your question?

Hello?

Hope our new member Francisd2d is not uneasy reluctant/discouraged/afraid/scared (joke :D )

Please consider this thread as yours (you have created it is'nt it?). You can post further questions or simply consider that your questions have been answered; just say it :)

If you are uneasy about what to do, you can always send a private message (PM) to continue exchanges, specially to moderators (mods). In this case better target the mods in charge of that section who are: TheWef, Manono, Jggimi, Len0x (not very present these days). As Jggimi has already posted he would be your natural correspondant. See the Howto post PM in th FAQ here: http://forum.doom9.org/faq.php?

Hope to read you soon.
