Problem with DVD playing

Good evening everybody, I have problems with my burned dvd films while playing them on my dvd player Yamaha. The films are burned on Verbatim DVD+R. During the watching of movie, the player suddenly (how to say) pauses or scratch the dvd film and I have to go ahead with forward button for continue. This is caused mainly in the last chapters of the movie and is very disturbing.
Dont know, if I make some mistakes during burning process or should I replace the player by other brand. Please, help me.

Do these burned DVDs exhibit the same behavior (pausing) when you play them on your PC, or on another, different standalone DVD player?

Hi Setarip, many thanks for your reaction. I have just played DVD on my PC with PowerDVD 7 and it works well without any problem. Regarding your second question, unfortunately I have no available other standalone DVD player. I really think it might be the problem of Yamaha DVD Player, which cant read properly the DVD copies but any advice is valuable for me.

Take one or two of these burned DVDs to a retail electronics store and play them on a few of the players...
