Since I installed AutoGK 2.27 + DivX 6.1.1 on my Win XP SP2 system, I have got the "EXCEPTION: Open avi failed" message
I tried mutiple tricks found on the forums but nothing resolved my problem. I then unsinstalled every codec, cleaned the registry with every entry containing DivX and reinstalled DivX 6.1.1 +
AutoGK 2.27. Looking at installed codecs through codec_sniper,
the vdic.yv12 entry was linked to \Windows\System32\DivX.dll. I then called VirtualDubMod and tried to compress a former attempt by opening the avs script and selecting DivX 6.1.1 and
it worked!!
Then calling autoGK and running a job, I falled on my problem and noticed that the vdic.yv12 entry in the registry was now pointing
to \Windows\System32\divx.dll !!
Do you guys know what program could have forced the vdic.yv12 value to divx.dll and if it can be the cause of my problem?
I'm also open to any workaround as I don't know what to try
