Hiya, I hoped these questions would be easy to answer.
1)What are good brands of DVDs which are compatible with most standalone DVD players?
2)Your AVItoDVD FAQ deals with joining multiple files but if you want to create a DVD with 6 episodes on, is there any other way of getting them to DVD other than joining them into one huge avi?
many thanks this site has helped me so much.

1) Most brands of DVDs are compatible with most players, but it's usually more a compatibility with the burning software and "bitsetting." For complete compatibility check http://www.videohelp.com/dvdmedia and http://www.videohelp.com/dvdplayers.
2) It appears that AVI2DVD doesn't support anything like chapters for episodic conversions, but there are plenty of other programs out there that do.
You may want to edit your post title to something more descriptive of its contents. Click "Edit," then "Go Advanced" and you'll be able to change it.

I've heard good things about Verbatim.

Bluefunk--As you make your next post to this thread, take the time to implement the edit that CWR requested. His directions are concise. A descriptive title is the first thing we see, making it closely reflect your problem will attract quicker and better responses than a generic "help" request. Plus, it's in the Forum Rules, located at the top of every Forum page, and a nice, tight title pulls up in the search returns better.
Click on the "Edit" button at the bottom of your opening post in this thread to get this ball rolling.
