Did you create an ISO file?

Hi!

1) What is the Title and Region number of your original, purchased DVD?

2) First of all, if you have DVD Decrypter v.3.5.4, there's no need to use SmartRipper. If a copy of your original, purchased, full DVD will fit on your burnable media, use DVD Decrypter, in "ISO mode" to "Read .ISO" (rip the full DVD to your hard drive as an .ISO image file. Then again use DVD Decrypter, in "ISO mode" to "Write .ISO" (burn to your burnable media) - Select the "companion ".MDS" file rather than the .ISO file.

If the full DVD is too large to fit onto your burnable media use DVD Shrink to rip as an .ISO image file and burn with DVD Decrypter (This option will become available in DVD Shrink once you've clicked on the "Backup" radiobutton). If DVD Shrink is unable to rip, try to use DVD Decrypter v.3.5.4, in "File mode", to rip "ALL files" (NOT just "movie files" - and use DVD Shrink to compress and rip as an .ISO image file and burn with DVD Decrypter (This option will become available in DVD Shrink once you've clicked on the "Backup" radiobutton).

3) ripped a movie using smart ripper, and now when loading DVD decrypter in order to burn the movie, it does not recognise the ripped files.DVDDecrypter will only recognize .ISO image files from your hard drive (Unless you create a virtual drive)

4) tried also DVDshrink but it says "invalid DVD structure"...normal smart ripper output files...vts...._.ifo, idx, lst,d2vIt appears that you've used SmartRipper in "Movie" mode (and have chosen "Sream processing") rather than "File Copy" and, therefore, have not created the proper DVD "package" of files required by DVD Shrink...

Well, there is: No. 2 of setarip_old's post.

If you don't have DVD Decrypter 3.5.4.0, Doom9's download page has it.
Depending on the speed of your system, it should only take about 1/2 hour or so to get it into an ISO.

how? if i canīt make it (DVDdecrypter) to recognise/load the files, how can i turn them into an ISO image?

If I am not mistaken, the files that are on your hard drive will not become an ISO image, no matter what you do.

You can place the original DVD into your computers DVD Reader, then follow No. 2 from setarip_old's post.

So it's like i said skipper...i got into a dead end...

i said in the beggining that it was a old rip i made...naturally i don't have the damaged DVD anymore...

thanks
