I just concluded the best way to burn DVDs to playback on my Insignia DVD is using Nero 7 compilation type DVD-ROM (UDF/ISO). Setting compilation type as DVD-Video will create jerky playback DVDs.
I would like to understand why Nero works like that !!
When I select DVD-ROM (UDF/ISO) and drop my VOB files, Nero warms me that I'm using the wrong compilation type and that DVD-Video is the one I should use.
Using DVD-Video, for VOB files I know are OK, Nero complaims about size not being multiple of 2K and other things and if authorized to go ahead it generate crappy DVD.
Even on PC ( I use Media Player Classic to playback ), the DVD created using compilation type DVD-ROM (UDF/ISO) is better than compilation type DVD-Video.
It seems people are complaining about this since 2002 (maybe earlier).
So, why a good product like Nero works that way ?
( or are me/my systems the wrong piece here ?)
Thank you to share any information about this.
Regards
Marcio
