Suggested Bitrates for 1080i

I got a lot of Clips , in 1080i Resolution.
I would like to encode them in MPEG for the Future.

Is there already a Specification aviable for MPEG2 in 1080i ?

I would like to know which Bitrate Ranges (max br. , min br.) i have to use.

May i ask what the source of those files is?
And what format is it in?
Can you share a Sample?

Also a more general question, a HD camera, on what does it store its video/audio?
