No. BUT the answer is more complicated than that. Read on.
You do need to understand that the component cable is carryong ONLY the picture. It does not carry any sound. The component cable is dedicated to splitting the video image into three separate types of video signals and sending each separately.
So, you then need to decide how you will get to HEAR the audio. One more cable will be required. It could be a separate cable run to your TV; or it could also be a separate cable run to an A/V receiver (if you have a home theater setup). This separate audio cable could be a simple audio cable (stereo, with left and right channels, usually with RCA jacks). This is what is often used if you are running to the TV.
If you have an AV receiver, you should look into running either an Optical cable (also known as Toslink) or else a "digital audio cable" since either of these would deliver surround sound to the receiver.
