I was half way through uploading Mary Popping to my hard drive when it stopped, and I kept getting an I/O error. It was
50% of the through. I think it has a special guard on it. Is there any way I can get it to work. I don't understand a lot of computer words. I want to back up my copy so I always have a copy. I'm using Decrypter and Shrink that my grandson downloaded from the internet. Thanks gjcrnc

Hi!

There should be no "special" or newer copy protection on that DVD. Which of the two programs, DVD Decrypter or DVD Shrink generated that error message?

You might try cleaning the DVD...

A scratched disc is a common cause of I/O errors.

Yeah, probably a error on the disc, or ya DVD drive starts to die... :\

If the DVD is damaged get it repaired, professionally or buy another copy, and look after it thereafter.

Personally I let nothing handle my DVD's, and when I'm handling them I'm so careful it's not funny. I figure if you're going to buy something look after it so it's as good as the day you bought it, otherwise just rent things.. because you can get a wrecked DVD there anytime you want :)
