Hi
Im using CCE Basic 2.69 for encoding some recorded party shows(Bombay Times Party) and it shows it is encoding and after 5 minutes closes without any errors. The clip is only partly encoded. I tried with both using Avisynth script and using the actual file.
The clip in question is a DivX 5 clip and I have installed codecs Xvid 1.1(Celtic Druid build) and Cyberlink Power DVD which has the DivX 5 decoder in it. Any help as to what I may be doing wrong

load the avisynth clip into virtual dub and see if its all there (drag your mouse through the time line at the bottom) also try playinf fromt he beginning (still in vdub) and see if it plays through (linearly)... cce will tell you what frame its on so watch the encoded frames , then see that it can play in virtual dub past the frame range that cce closes on.
if vdub throws and error or locks up where the stop in cce is then you need to fix your source stream (divxfix.exe is good for that)
if it plays ok in vdub then try different settings in cce.. (like a higher minimum bitrate maybe 500-1000 and/or a higher max bitrate -- also check your average isnt too low -- or even try undot.deen in avisynth to make encoding easier.
