Appologies if I am in the wrong forum.

I have a dvd file on my pc, slightly too large for a DVD-r disk. I don't want to shrink it any if I can help it, but looking at the dvd if I remove the dts audio it will fit. But I can't seem to find out how.
DVDShrink won't even open the files. Any suggestions and help appreciated.

Hi!

1) What is the Title and Region of your original, purchased, commercial DVD?

2) What software and procedures did you use to rip it to your hard drive?

3) Does the hard drive version play properly ("AS DVD") with a software DVD player?

This is perplexing. You say you want to remove the DTS audiotrack - but according to the information about this (Region 2) DVD at amazon.co.uk http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/B000BKUY78

this DVD doesn't have a DTS trackDVD Features: • Aspect Ratio: 1.85 Wide Screen
• Available Audio Tracks: Dolby Digital 5.1
• Main Language: English
• Hearing Impaired: EnglishBe that as it may, this DVD is a Warner Studios release and, therefore, shouldn't have any special/new copy protection.

1) What is the SPECIFIC error message DVD Shrink generates when you try to use it to open the harddrive copy?

2) You should be able to use DVD Shrink (without DVD Decrypter) to DIRECTLY rip your original, purchased DVD
