when using my p4 I found iDCT=6 (skal) to be quite a fast/precise setting. I think the last, "xvid" setting was actually the fastest in testing, been a while =)

idct=6 should be the fastest specially if you use it in combination with NaN's DGDecode 1.1.1 (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=105484) and a P4 as this is the cpu NaN works with. ;)

First this is only related to the Pro Version:
Options => AVS Options => AVS Expert Options => Set Decoder iDCT.
1 = 32 Bit MMX
...
7 = 32 Bit Simple MMX (XviD)

Or you can use a batch text replacer to add the parameter to the MPEG2Source line in all AVS files in the working directory. I do it all the time to add the parameter cpu=4.
