With AGK you cannot do a Comp Test.
Because it's very important to do it, i thing better if you can choose e range of comp test result (for example 70-80%) to do the resize automatically that produce the value of compt test into the range you've input...
In fact the Auto Resize produce a low value of DRF...
Can someone insert this function in AGK?
Many thanks!

"Because it's very important to do it,.."
Why do you think so?

Because comp test says how good is your final compressed avi and without it you can't coose best resolution.
For example if comp test result is 80% i can use begger resolution, if comp test is 50% i've to generate a bigger file (2 cds inted one) of downlgrade the resolution, if i don't do it my final avi will have bad quality.
...sorry for my bad english...

Ehr.. AutoGK already does a compt test...

Yes, i know it, but you can't choose a range that AGK has to respect.
Now AGK do a comp test and chooses a resolution that is indipendent for result YOU want.
Better would be, for example, if YOUcan choose a desidered range of comp test result, like 70-80%, and AGK try to force resolution setting to respect this value.

I still don't get it.
AutoGK does a comp test to try and encode in the "best" quality it can, given the constraints you've given it.
You can override, be specific, or place minimums on the resolutions chosen, too.
So you can either let it do that automatically, with some degree of logic, or decide on the resolution (bearing in mind cropping, aspect ratio detection and resizing) yourself, or impose a minimum and still let it use the results of the comp test (for resolution and other aspects to the encode).
I'm struggling to see what could be gained, here.
I think what he means is that he wants to explicitley tell AutoGK what to do, if the Comp Test results in a certain value.
e.g. If the Comp Test returns a value of 84%, to use a two or three times greater resolution, or maybe even a given resolution like 720x560 or sth.
Now since I don't even use AutoGK I don't know on which basis it does it's automatic resize, but since it's logical to assume that by using the "best quality" resolution, I think the rules set by the programmers should be quite reasonable.
The only thing to "gain" would be a certain ammount of personal control over the entire resizing process.

Indeed - I think what he's requesting is in effect done automatically by AutoGK.
The only thing to "gain" would be a certain ammount of personal control over the entire resizing process.
Maybe he / she would be better off using Gordian Knot, then.
There are a few other utilities that allow you to interrupt some of AutoGK's processes and tweak things, but I can't help but think that if AutoGK is too auto for you, then Gordian Knot is the tool for you.
