Hi
i am a Newbie to dvd authoring. I am basically trying to convert my existing cd's to dvd's. I am able to successfully create a dvd movie (Using Nero, DVD-Lab Pro, Ulead, or Adobe Encore DVD), with Dolby 5.1 sorround. (AC-3 audio). I would like to know how i can have DTS sorround Sound on the dvd. Please help

surcode is easy. there's only 3 ways you can do DTS:
- DTS CD. that's 44100 Hz, 6 channel, 1411.2 kbps
- DTS half rate (for DVD). that's 48000, 6ch, 754.75 kbps
- DTS full rate (for DVD). that's 48000, 6ch, 1509.5 kbps
so figure out what you want to encode to, load up your wavs and click "go".
there's a pro DTS encoder box at work... biggest rip-off in the world. it's got 1 button on it.

I am also a newbie to dvd authoring. I have made some surround sound songs for my final year project at uni. I figured the most acessible format to give it out on would be a DVD 'cos lots of people have a 5.1 setup on their DVD player at home. I have surcode dvd dts and so i've made my mixes into dts files, but they wont play back on my computer. I've tried to install all kinds of codecs and players but the player crashes or it plays white noise. Even if these files are playable on a DVD player, how do I get them on there? I have a DVD writer but none of my dvd writing programs want to burn dts files! I have tried searching all over the net and this site for answers, but maybe someone could point me to something i've missed?
