I have found a print of a movie I have on Laserdisc, but I am too lazy to rip, and do all the goodies necessary to burn to DVD. The movie I have found, Song of the South, is in PAL format. Can it be converted to NTSC so I can watch it on my set? I don't mind buying it, and waiting for delivery, but it will chap my cheeks if I can't watch it.

Thanks,
Racer

Yes, it can be converted to NTSC. But you've stated that you are too lazy to do that. So, um, what is your point?

@VWRacer

Be advised that, wherever you've located this, it's a bootleg made from aither a VHS tape or Laserdisc, as Disney has thusfar stated that it will NOT be re-releasing "Song of the South" in the foreseeable future - likely due to the extreme racial overtones and stereotypes.

And, as an additional caution, if your source is "Barclay_Hinson", you'd best have second thoughts about it:

Since the best you can hope to purchase MAY be a conversion from LaserDisc, you might as well do it yourself...

**EDIT** BTW, your LaserDisc (presumably Japanese, with both English and Japanese audio, since this Title was never released in the US on LaserDisc) is probably fairly valuable as a collectible...

Thanks for the feedback. As far as being lazy, I haven't really had the time to invest in learning how to transfer. I have several discs in my LD library that I want to convert. I need to do some more reading on the How To, before I can.

Setarip, I thank you for the warning. I haven't bought this, but it was on Ebay from someone in North Carolina. I think I'll just pass, and do one from the LD. And yes, the LD is from Japan, from Disney, with both Audio tracks, and Japanese subtitles on the songs.

I owe you one,
Racer
