Hi!
If your XviD includes some "special" settings, such as QPEL, it won't be playable on a 642/37. The player's documentation lists the limitations...

That is unfortunate; I was going to say something like "If you would of made a real DivX file instead of a an XviD file you wouldn't of had that problem."

What is unfortunate?
- That chase had a bad burn, or
- That chase could solve his problem, AND had the courtesy to report back...
Maybe I did not understand your statement, or is it just a way to introduce/herald/shout loud: "Use DIVX, DIVX is more ..."
If so you may want to read or re-read the sticky made by jggimi: http://forum.doom9.org/announcement.php?f=56 about how to avoid flame wars;
and/or the forum rules n° 4 and 5: http://forum.doom9.org/forum-rules.htm
If not so, you can discard my post.

Wow that was a little strong! My comment had nothing to do with the quality of the Codec. But, that I am a strong beleiver in the certification process of DivX. There are many manufactures that have put out marginal equipment saying it will play XviD, and their playback is weak at best. Without certification it is "Buyer Beware".

I tend to Disagree here.. XviD is not a weak playback system in comparison to DivX IMO.. It's just everybody's personal issue.
