It goes like this:
I had several avi files that I wanted to join up and make a DVD out of.
They were of different resolutions, slightly different frame rates, audio not constant bitrates throughout files and they gave me a headache.
Two weeks ago (maybe three) I didn't know how to work with Avisynth, well barely take a file into VirtualDub and convert it manually with a certain compressor.
I looked through the site at very many posts and after some copying, pasting, reading the avisynth manual, holding back not to make a new thread everytime I run into trouble etc etc I managed to make one single script to join them together, send them to HC and make a nice DVD out of the pieces.
At the end I didn't even make a post to ask about something because there's a lot you can find in here without asking (oh I think I got as far back as 2001!)
So THANK YOU to all who sent various snippets and advices for the various problems people encounter that helped me to get into the world of video processing.
Yeah I had enough time to myself to search the forums.
I also had too much time to write an otherwise useless post like this, alright?
And a little advice for other newbies too. There's a search button! Very nice!
Alright, now I have other things to do...
