Hello, I am fairly new at backing up DVD but on several of my DVD'd that I've tried to Back Up using DVD Shrink it tells me that there is a redundancy error. I've tried DVD Fab, DVD Decrypter 3.5.4.0 and vobBlocker and I haven't been successful. Any ideas?

Hi!
A CRC error indicates that there's either a problem with the physical DVD (scratched, dirty, Peanut Butter and Jelly) - or "ARccOS" copy protection, that the ripping program you're using cannot resolve. First, try cleaning the DVD.
If that doesn't solve your problem, post back here, listing the Title and Region of the DVD you're trying to rip or copy...

If they are Sony or Buena Vista titles you have a good chance of having ARccOS discs as Mr. setarip advised.
I just had an experience with a TV show transfer that was so badly authored it just plain wouldn't play, nevermind backup.
Since you're having this problem with several discs I wonder if your laser lens doesn't have some fuzz on it?

@Stone Knife
Actually Buena Vista and other Disney-related DVDs currently are protected with "RipGuard", not "ARccOS".
I mention this because DVD Decrytper v.3.5.4 actually CAN rip "RipGuard"-protected DVDs without generating a CRC error. The resultant rip only needs to be "cleaned up" by a quick run through VOBBlanker in order to be acceptable for input to a compression program such as DVD Shrink or DVD2One (VOBBlanker step is not needed if you're going to make a 1:1 copy to DVD9)...
