Which codec would you prefer when compressing a low bit rate video clip? For example, 200k - 500k bps.
Could you give me some suggestion? Thanks

VP7?
Xvid?
real?
x264?

Sorry, you broke Rule #12, so you lose.

Read the forum rules! (http://forum.doom9.org/forum-rules.htm)

I am sorry to ask the question in a wrong way. I edit the post again, to follow the rules.

Thanks for your remainder.

x264. With MeGUI.

Because it's great quality, OSS, the in-loop deblocking makes it really good for low bitrates, and there are lots of tools for it, like MeGUI, StaxRip, RealAnime, MkvMagic...

But that's only my opinion, and who am I to tell you what to use? That's why we have rule 12 in the first place

I'd prefer to use DivX3.11 Alpha @ 150kbps 'cause it looks really cool and it's blazing fast ... (what!? didn't I say I was a blind mole ? :D)
