Rejig have a File Mode - but I'm didnt really liked it, since the result file is demuxed. The best for me would be to transcode a .mpg file, and the result is a .mpg file (muxed and shrinked).

So, anyone knows another software that transcode MPEG2 streams ?

Thanks.

No. Nero Recode also only support DVD-Video files.

If your familiar with commandline, you can use mencoder. The encoder is very good.

not sure how finicky recode is, but have you tried renaming to .vob?

a "DVD file" is still an mpeg-2 stream after all. just with some other stuff that hopefully recode doesn't care about.
