Hi!

"Chicken Little" is a "RipGuard"-copy protected DVD. It can be properly dealt with as follows:

1) Rip with DVD Decrypter v.3.5.4 (NOT DVDFab Decrypter)

2) Load the VIDEO_TS.IFO of the rip into VOBBlanker (and set a new output file location)

3) Set VOBBlanker to "Process all" - and then press the "Process" radiobutton.

4) The DVD "package" of files (.IFOs, .BUPs, .VOBs) created by VOBBLanker (in the new output location) will be accepted for processing by DVD Shrink...

Hi,

At first, please try new beta of DVDFab Decrypter to see the result:
http://club.cdfreaks.com/showthread.php?t=172980

If the problem still exists, please send us all the .IFO files on Original disc, then we will check the problem.

A recommended way is listed below:
1) Open an Explorer window, and navigate to VIDEO_TS folder of the DVD.
2) Copy all files ending with .IFO to hard disk.
3) ZIP the IFO files on hard disk to one file. Name it with a readable
filename, like Stealth_UK.zip.
4) Send the zip file to fengtao(at)dvdidle.com, you need replace (at) with @.

Best Regards,
Fengtao

Thanks, setarip_old, this worked for me. Initially I wasn't setting VOBBlanker to "process all" (it was skipping over multiangle) but when I did, it worked. DVD will play on all but my oldest players.

I am new to this...is there a good summary or explanation of why you need the VOBBlanker to begin with?

Thanks again for the help.

Wierd, I ripped in ISO mode with Decryptor, then opened it up with DVD Shrink and had zero problems.
In fact, that method works 90% of the time for me, no need for Vobblanker.

I just downloaded dvd decrypter and I understand it but what I don't understand is the VOBBlanker. Is that another download or is it in the dvd decrypter download. I am new so please understand my ignorance

Hi!

VOBBlanker is not a part of DVD Decrypter. It is an independent program that can be downloaded from either of the following two links:

http://www.videohelp.com/~jsoto
http://jsoto.posunplugged.com/
It is sometimes necessary to use VOBBlanker in conjunction with DVDs ripped by DVD Decrypter v.3.5.4...

Thank you for the tips on this one. Is anyone having problems playing the dvd with PowerDVD?

I keep getting error code: 80040216 and "An object or name was not found" error. Cannot play the dvd at all on my laptop. Anyone else having this problem? I'm using PowerDVD v6.0.

Thank you. And yeah, sorry about that. I was running out the door and was hurried. I felt bad about leaving the message w/out having exhausted my normal searching.

I am new to this, is there any chance that you will walk me through every step of this process on which buttons to click and when to go from decrypter to vob to shrink and what to hit along the way?

@dvon76

In response to your similar post in another thread, I asked you, "What is the Title and Region of your original, purchased, commercial DVD?" - and you didn't respond. Without this information, it becomes a guessing game, which is a waste of time.

A little more effort on your part would be a good thing ;>}
