Try it. You won't be disappointed. It allows you to remove redeye plus is a great photo cataloging and browsing software.

Is it better than xnView? I'm really looking for an alternative to ACDsee that look and work like ACDSee :)

Picasa seems bulky

I use IrfanView for my image viewer. Picasa is an image organizer. For viewing images I want something not bulky so that's why I use IrfanView.

You can also try PhotoFiltre.

Photofiltre is awesome, and its studio is the easiest to use photoshop clone around (worth the money imho if you can't afford PS), but I don't think the free one has automated red-eye filters. Studio does come with one, however.

There a hundred different programs that can do that. Picasa is great, I reccommend that. You can also download Adobe Photo Album 3.0 (its an update to acrobat reader).

I also use IrfanView. It's lightweight and very useful.

IfFanView's window-handling leaves much to desire if you ask me. Also the Save-dialogue which doesn't pick the current dir for example.

Er? What's wrong with the window handling? Do you mean the window doesn't autosize to the dimensions of the image? If that's what you're talking about I agree. Other than it it works just fine.
Save As dialogue is a minor nuisance as well, I agree.
