Burn Speeds On Lite-on below x4

Hi,

I have been experiencing problems of jerky immages when encoding .avi onto dvd with nero so I reduced burnspeed from x8 to x4 which have improved things no end but the problem is still there. Im certain that if I could reducte the burn speed to x2 it would kill to problem all together but the lowest burn speed on nero that I can select is x4.

I have tried dvdDecrypter which offers a burn speed of x2 but defaults back to x4 when actualy burning, same with DVDShrink... is there a restriction on the lite-on dvd burner Im using that prevents you from burning below x4?

Any help at all would be very much appreciated

More than likely it's the media - if you're using 16X it probably won't burn below 4X. Some of my cheap 8X media won't even burn below 4X, but most will still burn at 2.4X.

If it's NERO Recode (NOT NERO BurninROM) you're using to convert and burn, I read at another forum that you might benefit from turning off "Disc at once"...
