I was wondering if someone could help. How does XP decide which codec to use when rendering a video file with directshow? The reason I ask is that I have XviD installed and prefer the quality to the DivX decoder. However, I installed the latest DixV decoder over the weekend and it takes priority over XviD and windows uses it to decode XviD encoded files instead of the XviD decoder. What I want is a way to change the order of the 4C -> decoder mapping.
