I'm converting some old videos I have from DivX 3 to x264. The first twenty episodes of the series went perfectly. Once I hit episode 21, MKVMerge is failing to mux and giving me error code -1073741676. I have no clue what that means. Before that reports it though, the Windows "This program has failed!" and send error report dialog pops up. I've figured out that it's the video stream that's causing the problem. Nothing changed between the first twenty episodes and the next fifteen [I've tried all of them in MKVMerge to make sure it wasn't just the one]. They all used the same codec settings and were output to MP4 files. I made sure I had current MKVToolnix and x264 and even tried re-encoding the video so I'm at a loss as to what I can do...

EDIT
Note, I have tried MKVMerge with other x264 streams prior to this error and it worked, so I'm wondering what the heck that means?

This is Access Violation IIRC.

Umm ... that doesn't help me much. What exactly is Access Violation IIRC? And what does that mean? As in, how can I fix it or what exactly is causing the problem?

If you can possibly create a test file that's as small as you can where you can repeat it, you can upload to a site (rapidshare if necessary) and send the report to Mosu, who maintains mkvtoolnix.

You might want to first check the mkvtoolnix 1.6.5 thread (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=103757&page=8) and try the most recent test compile he's made, with any luck your problem's already been fixed in current cvs.
