I take it you are familiar with our forum rules skitakilla?
Particularily rule 6 (http://forum.doom9.org/forum-rules.htm), our policy announcement (http://forum.doom9.org/announcement.php?f=6) and sanctions (http://forum.doom9.org/sanctions.htm).

I take it he/she means copyright-free movies.
You could look for websites of movie academies, they usually have movies made by students for download. For documentaries you could try a site called Free Documentaries (Google it) which has some documentaries it claims to have for download legally.

Ah well, I was mislead by the naïveness. 'Cause everyone knows that copyrighted films aren't offered on normal webpages, don't they? So I figured he must mean copyright-free. :rolleyes:

You can purchase videos on Google Videos.
videos.google.com
They also have some great free and paid documentaries, shows, and whatever you like.

In the spirit of the thread, if not the OP, there's youtube, which is like a nearly unmoderated google video... lots of home movies and crazy japanese game shows. :p (Can't say it's entirely free of copyrighted material, but it's no worse than google video.)

For Classic and B-Movies that are public domain, you can go here: http://www.publicdomaintorrents.com/
For example, movies on there are:
Metropolis
Plan 9 From Outer Space
Nosferatu
Flash Gorden Episodes
etc.
The movies are in a few formats. iPod, PSP, PDA (DivX) and normal 1 CD DivX AVI versions.

@siddharthagandhi
The sites mentioned in this thread are indicated to provide copyright-free, public domain media. No one has stated, "I have downloaded..." anything. So how do you feel that " the mods are slacking off today"?
