Closed captions extraction problem

Ive came accross to one dvd that subrib and vstrip detect cc but vstrip and scc tools cannot extract it, thing is when trying to extract with vstrip it tries but once it finishes it gives rubbish sub.idx

and scc tools tells after trying to extract that theres not cc inside mpeg2.

Anyone came accross to this ?

Which SCC Tools did you use? I'd try VobSub (followed by VOBSUB2SCC) first. If that fails, rip the M2V file and use General Parser (followed by RAW2SCC). As a last resort, try SCC_RIP.

If all of these fail, run DVBDUMP (http://www.geocities.com/mcpoodle43/SCC_TOOLS/dvbdump.exe) on the M2V file and e-mail the resulting text file to me (mcpoodle43<no spam>@yahoo.com), and I'll see if I can figure it out.
