so i'm using MeGUI.NETv2.0_Bins_0.2.3.2108 to do some ipod encoding that videora and others desync on, however im getting a crash when megui uses mp4box to mux.

i tried yamb1.5 and it crashes also (or rather mp4box crashes)

i used belight to encode my audio using the nero .dlls for ipod using the ISO checkbox (i read this would clear up the mp4box crashing when muxing) it didn't

the video and audio both play fine separately with no errors. but mp4box just crashes on it (and any other muxing when converted to ipod). the mp4box.exe i have is 1.07megs.

with yamb, it crashes right at 99% (audio loaded first) with megui it crashes as soon as it starts. yamb crashes as soon as it starts if the video is loaded first.
anyone have a solution or another muxer maybe?

where did you download the mp4box you are using

also are you 100% sure your audio stream is aac because i saw earlier before already that megui should output aac but in fact outputs another format (eg ac3) with the wrong extension mp4box obviously doesnt want to mux

bond, i'm actually using belight to encode to aac. i got an mp4box thats working, however, after the mux it will neither load to my ipod or play in quicktime. the aac file plays fine in quicktime and so does the movie if both are loaded separately, so im kind of confused as to what is causing it to break.

i tried muxing with yamb1.5 (no errors) and megui (no errors. both with the new mp4box i got) from here
http://kurtnoise.free.fr/mp4tools/

it no longer crashes. but i'm guessing thats what breaking the mux. quicktime reports an error -51 unknown error.

when you are muxing a raw .aac to .mp4 with mp4box you propably had a mpeg-2 aac stream and mp4box also signals it as mpeg-2 aac in mp4
mpeg-2 aac is the same as mpeg-4 aac, still crappy quicktime doesnt want to play it

i think you can change the header to signal mpeg-4 with mp4creator or next time encode right to mp4 with aac...
