I'm in the process of creating a DVD, and while the main feature will be Full D1 MPEG2+PCM, some of the extras might be VCD resolution, MPEG1+MP2 and/or MPEG2+AC3 encodes. Will this disc play on a standalone without issues?

It depends on the player...
Some can play a mixture of MPEG-1 and 2 video streams with various types of audio, placed within the .MPG container. And MPEG-4 with various types of audio, placed within the .AVI and .MP4 containers.
If you are thinking about creating a DVD with menu's then that's a whole different ball game as such a disc would have to conform strictly to the DVD specification!

Yeah, this will be a straight-up DVD with menus. The main feature will be Full D1 Res MPEG2 + PCM Audio, and I eventually decided that the features will be VCD Res (also a part of the DVD standard according to videohelp) MPEG2 + AC3/MP2 audio. What are my odds of this being playable then?

As long as they are separate TITLES within the DVD structure, I believe it will be playable...

I don't know how to separate into different titles but I suppose DVDLab will do that for me :). What exactly is a title anyway? A separate, independent video file?

You might want to use TMPGEnc DVD Author for such an authoring project (It's simpler) - and add each of your videos as a new "track" (Title). You'l be able to readily chapterize each track/title and make a Main menu linked to separate menus for each track/title, if you like...

Thanks for the recommendation, but I think I'll stick with DVDLab as I really like it and seems simple enough.
