Ive tried this movie 3 times now with the same result, the converted .vobs play ok with powerdvd but when I try to play the .iso it wont play. I burned it on a dvdrw and does the same in my dvd player. Heres a pic of the converted files.

Did you try burning a DVD-R from the ISO (instead of a DVD-RW)?

didnt see any point, the iso wont play when mounted in daemon tools and powerdvd like every other rip ive done before.

the converted .vobs play ok with powerdvdDid you play the DVD hard drive "package" (.IFOs, .BUPs, .VOBs) "AS DVD", or simply as individual .VOBs?
If not yet done, try playing "AS DVD", to make certain that you do, in fact, have a functioning DVD "package" BEFORE creating the .ISO image file...

I played them as indivdual .VOBSThen by all means, as I said previously, try playing "AS DVD", to make certain that you do, in fact, have a functioning DVD "package" BEFORE creating the .ISO image file...

ok I opened it in ifoedit and tried to play AS DVD and get the msg "No Valid DVD-Video volume could be located." You can see the file structure in my above pic, so whats missing?

1) You might want to try using PowerDVD to "Play as DVD".
2) Looking at a list of filenames and filesizes doesn't disclose their contents (navigation information, etc.)
3) Are you sure that your initial rip resulted in a playable DVD "package", before you use Rebuilder?
4) As already asked, what is the Title and Region of your original DVD?

Try to test if the initial rip is playable with powerdvd
1) Open Powerdvd
2) Press CTRL-O
3) Select "Open DVD files in the hard disk" option
4) Select the "VIDEO_TS" folder of your dvd and click ok
This will try to play the folder as a dvd

Ok... I can be wrong but isn't it strange that vts_02_0.vob only has 20kb of size?
Did you pre-processed the source files?
mech61
17th March 2006, 23:03
ok I tried opening the files in powerdvd, no go, just get not responding when trying to play. The movie is a Pal region free porn movie (dont laugh) and Rockas no pre processing was done and you can see from this pic that the original vts_02_0.vob is only 20kb.

maybe I'm lacking knowledge here, bu tit seems odd that the VTS_02 .IFO is now larger than it was originally...

I'd do the Rebuild again. It sounds like it's been corrupted somehow. You may also want to try doing a "Get VTS Sectors" in IFOEDIT.

please check that the original rip plays okay in powerdvd, and also i have found that adult films are usually barely in spec or out of spec, this might be why dvd rb is having problems
mech61

yes the original plays in powerdvd no problems.......ive just done it with dvdshrink no problems there either.
