Alright, so I did several searches, and tried a few of the ones I saw, but nothing seems to work very well.

First of all, I have authorization to receive the stream, my boss is doing the stream out of another location, and I am trying to capture it so that I can post it for other users of our group to download, while it's happening w/o having to archive it.

So anyways I have two streams to work with, rm / asx. I would prefer an ASX file to work with, but I could do it with either.

Some programs I've used:
WM / RM Recorder (10.2)
Net Transport
ASF2MKV
ASFRecorder

Any other programs that is capable of what I'm talking that's pretty easy? I will be stoping and starting a lot, which is the problem for almost every one of these, they take too long to split the files, and I need to split them as i'm going rather than at the end.

Thanks,

(If this is the wrong spot sorry, seemed like the 'best' of the spots)

Moving to General Discussion forum, where you're likely to get better help.

(Yes, its a discussion of capture, but not of analog video capture.)

You definitely want SDP. It's completely free and you can get it from here: http://sdp.ppona.com/

You can create your own .asx file with mms:// URLS in it to batch record the streams. You can also set it up to record at a set time like a VCR. Very awesome software that works very well.

The documentation for it is in the SDP dir in a file named 'sdpreadme.exe' When you run that it's supposed to extract and load up in your browser. It doesn't completely work for me so I just extracted all the files from it using WinRAR and loaded it from there.
