well, i tried twolame with 384kbps, sound was fine, playback was fine in powerdvd, but my philips-dvd-player refuses to detect a soundtrack...

just load the wav into belight and select as output AC3 Stereo and the desired bitrate.
Twolame is for mp2 (thatīs why two(2)lame), not ac3.

How encode wav to ac3 using HeadAC3he v0.24-a13
Left panel:
- Select Source file and Destination Format AC3, rest unchecked.
- Warning: encode to ac3 5.1 require a 6 channel wav mapped FL_C_FR_SL_SR_LFE (Use WaveWizard with the preset "ac3 order for SoftEncode or ac3enc" to remap a wav with standard order FL_FR_C_LFE_SL_SR)
Right panel:
- Downmix Type desired (without effect for stereo input, select 6 ch for ac3 5.1)
- Individual input/output channels to 0 dB, No DRC (DRC always without effect)
- Global Gain 6 dB
- Low pass filter for surround (without effect for 2 ch output, for 5.1: checked or unchecked always do the low pass filter)
Second Right panel (click in Options button):
- Bitrate desired (192 recommended for 2 ch, 448 for 5.1).
