Hello,
is it possible to transform frames in an existing ASP stream to have error resilience capabilities? Without reencoding. How to do that? ffmpeg does not alter stream in copy mode - otherwise reencodes the file (with optional error resilience).

It is theoretically possible, but I don't know of any tool to do it.

In what circumstances would "error resilience" be needed?

iirc the only encoder out there that supports is the one provided by ateme, see:

"In what circumstances would "error resilience" be needed?"
afaik it's ment to keep visual error minimal if transmission errors occur, so it might be interesting for transmissions via wifi&co

Which for transmissions is typically the .TS container!
