Hi,
I have a 5.1 WAV-File (24bit, 48KHz and 6ch). If I play that file in PowerDVD it sounds very nice with its 5.1 effect.
If I try to convert it in BeSweet to an AC3 I just hear crap and noisy %!§"$*.
Did I forgot a step for converting a 5.1 WAV to 5.1 AC3?
Thanks alot for your help :)

I have a 5.1 WAV-File (24bit, 48KHz and 6ch).
Dolby AC3 goes up to 48kHz 6ch "16 bits". Resample your WAV to 16 bits and then encode.

Hi and welcome to the forum. Try remaking your 6 channel wave file using 16 bits, or use a program to convert it to 16 bits. The one I use to convert files is dBpowerAMP Music Converter. It has a 30 day trial for converting to MP3 but will convert to other formats after that 30 day trial has expired.

Free software recommended:
- WaveWizard to convert wav format.
- HeadAC3he v0.24-a13 by Dark Avenger 15.12.2004, with +6 dB Gain, to ac3 conversion.
