x264 error

x264 seems not to be working for some reason. I've tried MeGUI but when it comes to saving the file nothing happens. When I try to save it from VirtualDubMod, I get this error:

looks like a no stats file thing to me. that's uaully happens in divx too with no stats file. megui should pump out some errors if it's something wrong with the file. Also do not use the vfw.

with the cli could you do your command line from the command line and tell us what x264 reports? Also what build are you using?

I am very surprised that MeGUI simply doesn't start. MeGUI really isn't that hard to get working, so I would try it again if I were you, making sure you read my MeGUI guide (a sticky) and checking the log to see if it reported any errors.
