Hi,

This is my first post so I apologise if I ask something dumb.

Could anybody tell me how/if I can convert the following Mpeg-4 files into a format that will play on a stand alone DVD player.

This is the info I have on the file:

Video Format.........: MP4
Video Bitrate........: 850
Codec................: H264/AVC
Resolution...........: 720x400
FPS..................: 25
Source...............: DVD 16x9
Original Format......: PAL
Genre................: CGI Animation
Run time.............: Approx. 22 min
Audio Format.........: LE AAC
Bitrate..............: 96 (VBR)
Hz...................: 48,000
Channels.............: Stereo
Ripper & Encoder.....: AnyDVD & Nero Recode 7

I can view the file on my computer but I really want it in a format that my son can view on the TV.

Thanks for any help you can give,

Dustbag

Since this is clearly a DVD rip, it would be simpler for you to return to your original DVD and make a copy. There are plenty of guides available here which cover that task. Otherwise you may want to re-read the forum rules (http://forum.doom9.org/forum-rules.htm), particularly #6.

As a matter of interest, what tool did you use to obtain the file information?

The file I am trying to convert is an episode of Captain Scarlet which I downloaded, as this has been shown on Saturday morning TV I did not see an issue with copyright. If this is not the case then I apologise and I will forget it.

The info on the file was included as a readme with the download.

Thanks Dustbag,

And yes... please re-equate yourself with the forum rules.
