Help Required!!!

hello everyone...
i am using virtua dub for encoding my movies... i wanted to know how i can encode my movies(dvd and divx) to get them down to 150-200 Mb avi videos... what should be the settings and how should i go about doing that...

i tried it myself and at the end of the encoding, the sound was coming after the video... what went wrong... please help me here...
