Ive been trying with little success to convert a Divx file to mpeg2 for the past few weeks. I finaly resolved one issue only now whenever i encode a video and open it, it shows up as only 7-8 mins long, when the origional is 23mins long. Im using AVISynth and TMPG xpress.
AVI script
AviSource("Video_1.avi",audio=false)
BicubicResize(720,480,0,0.5)
AssumeFPS(23.976)
and all of those numbers are correct.
I cant figure this out for the live of me, can anyone help?

Hi!
1)You might want to run the .AVI you originally created through VirtualDub or VirtualDubMOD to check for bad frames
2) Would you please post a screengrab of GSpot's information regarding your original .AVI?

I origionaly used VirtualDubMOD to extract the video stream from an ogm file. Ive attached a ss of the file in media info and GSpot.

Despite what you've mentioned, I'd still suggest that you might want to run the .AVI you originally created through VirtualDub or VirtualDubMOD to check for bad frames...

oddly, when i play the two files next to each other at the same time, they both play at the same rate, and the mp2 version still has all of the video as far as i can tell.
