VobSub (VSfilter) crashing TMPGEnc

I'm having problems with TMPG and Vobsub. The subs play fine with Media Player Classic but when I preview the source video in TMPG it crashes instantly. In the environmental setting>VFAPI plug-in in TMPG I raise DirectShow file reader to highest priority as always.

I've used VSfilter 2.33 and 2.37 which it the latest version that comes with the k-lite codec pack.

I must state I've just done a format and clean install of XP and various programs. I've never had this problem before.

I was having a simmilar problem with the VFAPI plugin, but insted offixing it I just switched to AVIsynth

The problem was to do with the K-lite codec pack. I switched back to version 1.38 and everything was fine. It seems they had a huge ovehaul to the program in version 1.40 and something has changed with the setup. Not sure what it is but I'll have to stick with 1.38.
