Hi,

I have few .avi music videos laying around that are in german and they include .idx subtitles (DvobSub?) in the same dir. I would like to slipstream those subtitles into actual .avi file to have music video in 1 file. How can this be done?

Thanks

Does it have to be avi? If not, you can use mkvmerge.

Thank you sir,

I never tried playing any .mkv files, but I have filters and decoders for it on my OS. I would like to have files in .avi format so xbox (xbox media center) could easily play them. I do not know if xmc can play .mkv, looks like I will have to try out.

FYI; XBMC does not play embedded VobSubs in AVI (because MPlayer doesn't support that)

XBMC will however display the subtitle if you have them externaly like:
movie_name.avi
movie_name.idx
movie_name.sub
