slow burning speed using nero

I have 2 friends that use nero, shrink and decryptor and the total time from shrink to burning completion is 45min to 1hr for them. It is taking me 2.5hrs to 3.5 hrs total time, burn screen says 0.4x rate...Help...Whats wrong

Hi!

Are you using a free trial version of NERO that you've now been using for more than 30 days?

If so, this is an intentional slowdown - the thinking being that after 30 days, you should have decided if you like NERO enough to purchase it...

no, this came with the burner and i have had it for 2 weeks or so...................help

1) Make certain that DMA is on for all drives

2) Check to see if there is a firmware update available for your new burner, from the official manufacturer's site
