Hello. I've been looking for a DVD player that has no problems reading Memorex DVD+R Double Layer media. If you know of any that would, please let me know it.

Regards. :thanks:

My tip to you is to burn a disc or two and then go to your nearest dealer and try the players yourself, so you can be sure.

You can also check out videohelp.com

If nobody can offer me an answer, I don't have many options left, do I? :rolleyes:

even if someone says "this player works", I wouldn't buy it unless I've tested myself. There's more factors than the disc involved too, like your burner, and the calibration on the DVD player you're getting.

And there's a reason why I mentioned videohelp.com, have you been there yet? ;)

@Waleska

Hi!

Perhaps you should be more interested in knowing that, based on postings at this and many other forums, it appears that PRESENTLY the only consistently reliable DL DVD media is Verbatim DL DVD+R...

There's no way I'm buying something without testing it, but having a clue on the player I'm looking for would save me the pain of testing them all one by one ;)

And yes, the link was extremely helpful and I thank you heaps for that :) . It well seems that Memorex isn't such an incompatible garbage afteralls.

@setarip_old

Thanks for hint, I'll do everything within my range to get Verbatim media instead. I have never seen non-memorex DL's in my local stores anyways :(
