Target bitrate

Lately when I've imported a d2v using DGIndex 1.4.6 (and resized from 720x480 to 512x384) my target bitrate (using XviD) always falls up to 33% short. I don't know why. I'll target the bitrate for 1500 kbps and the output clip will come out to 1300 kbps or so.

Earlier in the day the bitrate was coming out fine on the same clip. Any ideas? (I just installed new version of XviD and same problem.)

Uninstall/reinstall XviD. You can't usually install a newer version over an old one without problems.

I had the same problem before and after I installed the new XviD version. I thought installing the new version would solve the problem. And it happens on more than one clip.

I solved the problem by fooling around with the overflow parameters. Never had to do that before.

Furthermore, you've posted the duplicate thread just after you've written here that your problem is solved. That is puzzling.
