I cut a lot of video in VDUBMOD (I have current version). Whenever I cut an avi and save it, the output clip about 2-3 seconds into the clip will jump 1 or 2 seconds. It's always done that. I don't know why.

You can only cut in at I-frames, which are spread pretty far apart. Use the buttons with the key symbol on them to step forward and back at those frames so you can see exactly where it can cut in.

I-frames are spread out about every 100 frames? Is this going to be changed in the future you think? Thanks for the info.

Hi!
Many video codecs allow you to set the frequency of keyframes in your .AVI when you create it (as frequent as every 1 second [approximately 24-30 frames] with the DivX v.3.11 alpha codec - even more frequent with WMV)...
