I have a denver 228 dvd player and I was wondering if u could tell me why some xvid movies work fine and others dont?

I have 2 examples here:

movie1:
http://s37.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=1MF24ACZOADP216C8BRCNBL593

movie2:
http://s37.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=1AF1J2I6WLL012S9OIP1LZPYX0

movie1 plays perfectly, but movie2 has choppy playback. I have several movies like this, but I can't see any difference in the file-info. any help is appreciated.

Hi!

Did you create both XviD videos in the same way, or did you use things such as QPel in one but not in the other?

The second movie is encoded with packed bitstream, you can use MPEG4 Modifier to unpack it.

setarip, I did not make them, so I don't know.

what is packed bitstream exactly?

Its an option in xvid and changes the way bframes are stored. Some Player dont like it in combination with more than 1 bframe.
MPEG4 Modifier can change the file without reencoding.
